Oh, like you didn’t see this one coming. :p okay, maybe you didn’t. After all, I haven’t done anything with The Gatekeeper since October. But that’s okay, doing this got my muse on the story again. And I’ve determined that I’m going to have to rewrite it once I get back to it, because, well, I did it without a plan, and I’m thinking I need to restart it with one. Always a good idea.

This one, like the others, was a little hard to figure out what characters to use. I have a lot of important minor characters in this story, mostly because this one happens to also focus on families of characters Persephone associates with instead of just the main character’s family. Somehow, I ended up with the important members of the Porter family (David, her father; Julia, her mother; James, her grandfather; Catherine, her grandmother; and William, her older and favorite brother). The others…just aren’t as important to her.

And yet, somehow, the entire Jonston family made it on there. :O_o: Go figure. I suppose I could have put the other members of the Porter family on that side, but then this picture would be a little one sided, and the Jonston family is just as important as they are.

I could have also included the royal family, but I think the only royal Persephone deals with on a day to day basis is Juliette. ^^; Plus, you know, no room and all that.

I tried to make this one make some sort of sense without being overly cluttering. This one’s fairly simple. The top circle has a castle to represent Ithyia, the kingdom Persephone ‘falls’ into, and the center circle has a city in it to represent the ‘real world’, where Persephone has spent most of her life. I added the sort of swirl to it to represent the portal, because these two worlds exist on separate planes of all that. I think it looks nice. ^^;

All in all, I’m happy with this one. I :heart: how creepy Persephone, David, and James’ eyes are, since they are supposed to be that weird looking. It is, after all, the mark of a Gatekeeper. And the dark skin doesn’t help it any. :D

I think I’m done with these, but knowing me, I’ll find some other story that needs one. They’re so fun, and so pretty. Hee, I’m a dork. :D

Hee, like you need an excuse to draw any more of these? ;P I really like how this one turned out, especially the contrast between the green of Persephone's dress and the purple of the surrounding circles. I know green and purple aren't contrasts, but they look good together, certainly. And yes, the Porters' eyes look really creepy! I think it's actually easier to tell when you colour the lines like that; it really lets the colour show through more than the black, hence making them 100% more creepily pale. ;P

I also like Persephone's pose, it looks a bit more dynamic and epic when she's posing with the staff like that. Makes me think she's going to open up a portal right then and there. I also like the contrast you make between the green of her dress/the castle background and the pinkish-reds you use for Douglas and Elsa's circles. That's the only reason I can think of for why those two portraits stand out. ^^;

It's very nice to see another one of these, and this one turned out just as lovely as the others. :D
