Just a cute random little Ryan and Benjamin picture, done mostly just because I, you know, can. I figure this would take place between the first and second ‘books’, since I’ve decided that there would be about a year between them, thus, I wouldn’t write about the summer. I did this mostly because it’s summer right now, and, well, actually, because I wanted to draw Ryan in that skirt. >.<
So, anyway, while Twilight had their little meadow, and the first version of Purebred had a clearing, I decided in this version, Ryan and Benjamin’s ‘special’ place would be the beach. I mean, it makes sense. Why not run to the beach to escape your worries? Plus, it was where they really started to interact, and indirectly related to how Benjamin asked her on their first date. Hee.
So, yeah, just a random little picture. Because, really, I can’t draw enough of these two.
(Also, I really like the coloring in Ryan’s shirt. I wanted to do colors that I normally wouldn’t do on them, hence why Ben’s wearing yellow, but that shirt just looks really nice. Heh.)

This is really cute. Okay, a lot of your Ryan/Ben pics are cute, but this one stands out, for some reason. It might even be something as simple as the slight change in lighting; the shading done from the side matches nicely with the background, as do the slightly muted colours. I can't explain it adequately, I just like it.
Ryan looks good in a skirt, too.
I can totally understand the feeling of wanting to draw someone in summery clothes while the weather's warm. Heaven knows it happens to me often enough. Ben actually looks really good in yellow, and I agree it's a colour rarely seen on him. He should wear it more often.
