Modern Day Cupid

Ok, dumb title, but whatever. This is the cover to the short story I wrote for my creative project in my Mythology class. Took me forever to figure out what to do, then took me forever to get off my butt and work on it. And my muse wasn't working for me over the weekend.

This is due on Thursday, among other things.

Anyway, the story is basically a modern day Cupid and Psyche, if you've ever read that myth. Greatest myth for romantics like myself. Psyche, in the end, doesn't get smitted, and they actually do live happily ever after. Unlike most gods, who's women, even if she becomes mortal, somehow dies anyway.

It's not the greatest cover, but it's a cute pic. Although I hate how I ended doing Psyche's bangs. I should have done them a little differently, but it works. And I really love how I did Cupid's bow. She's holding it because, essentially, Eros (Cupid) is the one who get's the arrow (in his butt, coincidentally). I was trying to pertray that the roles are switched. And I wanted Pysche to hold the bow and arrow instead of Eros.
