Description

A few days ago, ~anijel and I were randomly discussing squish between our characters. All of a sudden, my muse smacks me with this picture. Now, I normally don’t do squish pictures between my characters and someone else’s, mostly due to embarrassment. But this image was really strong that I went, ‘Fine. Let’s see what I can do.’.

Well. This definitely turned out better than I expected. Really, it was the whole…sitting thing that had me wondering. But hey, I pulled it off pretty well. :D The girl is actually the same height as the boy, but…I guess she’s slouching or something. I sort of messed up there, but not overly so.

So, in the story, Jacey (the girl) controls the element of earth, mostly through rocks. Jin (the boy) will gain the power to control fire. Hence the heart made of rock and fire (well, that’s supposed to be a rock. You probably couldn’t tell until I told you.) Jin is in a band, and I believe the name ~anijel settled on was Candor, but I can’t be sure. I like it, in any case. Sort of Star Wars-y. And Jacey’s looking a little tomboy-ish, despite wearing pink.

Overall, I’m rather pleased with this. I am wondering, though, why I can’t come up with pictures like this for Purebred. :cries: But yeah, simple little squish picture. :D

I thought you've done plenty of squishy pieces for Purebred, personally, but this looks really cute. Even if Jacey's slouching. ;P Jin looks cool as well, and the flame portion of the heart looks really good. (But you've always been very good with flame effects).

I like how Jin turned out, especially his pose. He looks really relaxed and natural. His hair looks cool too, as does his shirt. (Yeah, I agree it does sound a little Star Wars-y, but not too much. It's still cool).

If it helps, I once found a good tutorial for rocks. I don't know how useful you'd find it, but I thought I'd offer it up if you liked. But anyway, the picture certainly is cute. :D I like it very much; squish is always fun.
