Dragon People

anijel, :callisto-chan:, and I were discussing anijel's dragon people, and what attributes they should have (really, she was tossing out ideas, and we were just enjoying them), and callisto-chan brought up the idea of her including not easily identifiable, except to us, cameos of our characters as dragon people.  While this isn't actually how they look, the idea of Bri looking like that stuck with me so much that I had to draw it.  The other two came about since I couldn't very well just draw Bri like that.  It wouldn't be fair.

So they girls get combined with their own dragons for their dragon form.  Because I figured it was the best way to do it.

Bri looks a little funny there because one thing anijel's dragons have is tinted skin, since their transformations aren't powerful enough to make them fully human.  Same with their hair.  Of course, the red looks great with Jodi's brown skin, and the same with the yellow and Danelle's peachish skin, but blue sort of greyed out Bri's Asian skin tone.  :/  Go figure.  She also mentioned giving the eyes cat slits, and I'm completely for that idea, because I love slitted eyes!  Another reason I wanted to do this, since they're interesting to do.

Naturally, in full human form, the dragons wouldn't have the wings, horns, or tails, or the pointed ears (or do they...?), but I thought it would be neat to include them in.  This, I guess, is just a half-transformation.  Obviously.

I love that outfit too much on Bri.  >.<  I may default to it now over her usual outfit, so...yeah.  ^^;  I almost want to put Jodi in stripes, but since Danelle's in her regular outfit, I figure Jodi can be as well.  Ha ha, she's holding a copy of her favorite book, Genetic Experiment 1004.  >.>  Sounds familiar, no?

Overall, this turned out so much better than I anticipated, and I'm glad I attempted it!  :D

I have no idea if anijel's dragons look anything remotely like that, but this is definitely entertaining! And certainly not what I expected. :D

It is a shame the blue greyed out Bri's skin, but I think it would've done that to any of them, what with blue sort of...cancelling out warmer colours. :\ Like I said, I pictured them as having a more obvious tint (something like 25-50% opacity, or thereabouts) to their skin, which might be better for Bri's case -- it'd show she's obviously not human, and probably look less greyed out.

(I tested it out with 25% opacity -- still looks greyish, but more inhuman than before...in that case, I think it'd come down to shading -- bring more blues into the shadows to emphasize the...well, blueness! Not that it matters, since I don't think there's going to be more dragon girls pictures? :P)

That's about the only solution I can think of for her, but she still looks nice regardless! I love the outfit still, and the change in jacket (from a collar to a hoodie) looks really cute! Maybe a bit more modern than I would expect (given the planet/culture), but somehow it works really well. And given how awesome that outfit is, why wouldn't you use it as often as you could? >.>

Danelle looks great too! The yellow wings suit her very nicely (and they match her outfit! Or…does her outfit match her wings? :P) She's dressed in a lot of black, as she is, but I kinda like the black/yellow contrast she's got going on there. This is going to sound stupid, but I like the way her horns kinda have that curve to them…somehow it matches her wavy hair. I don't know how to explain it, but it makes sense in my head. :O_o:

And Jodi's…Jodi. :P She looks nice, and though I can't really see the red, it warms up her skin tone nicely. Nice call on including the book, too! I nearly forgot about that idea, but it's good that you reminded me. >.> Yeah, maybe she stands out without stripes, but I like that outfit on her, so it's a win-win. ;P I kinda like how her tail matches her sweaterdress too -- she works as a dragon person better than I expected, but they all do, really!

This is an interesting idea! I hope it sparks anijel's muse, even if it's only a little bit. They all look great, I love it! :D
