Yeah, another little design sheet. Admittedly, I probably won’t get to this story until 2010, but there’s still that possibility that I’ll make it my NaNo story. Plus, I wanted to design Issy’s new look before I forgot it.
I have to say, though, that, yeah, the uniforms are different. This is because these guys are actual officers on the ship, meaning they already graduated. I wanted to design a different uniform for the actual crewmen, something similar, yet different. This is what I came up with. I…might change the guy uniform back to plants over the boots, but yeah. I can just say Chris is weird.
So, Neomenia, like a lot of the characters, gets more of a change in personality than in design. I like her design; it’s cute. As a Clioian, she’s a little uptight, so the reason why she has pink in her hair pretty much stands. That is, she was forced to do it, and can’t figure out how to get it out. She kind of likes it, though, as it sets her apart. Honestly, I really like her wavy hair look than the straight hair look I had for her for the RP she was in.
And Chris, real name Chrisfried, naturally gets no change whatsoever. He’s huge, and he’s curious. And weird. Can’t forget weird. His species, after all, doesn’t really follow any of the ‘rules’ of the other species. That is, humanoid, and named after some mythological figure. That’s what I love about his species; it’s completely original. They’re shapshifters, which is why Chris looks human. But, due to being a fairly young shapeshifter, he can’t control his height very well yet.

A little bit of a spoiler for the last version (so it hardly counts now), but Issy is a Nereid, sent to protect her prince. I figure since I was redefining Nereids, I would go ahead and design her based on that. So, she has sea-green hair now. I like it, although she looks a little like Sailor Neptune now. But those are two separate genres, so I think I’m safe.
Neomenia and Chris are Lieutenants, whereas Issy is just an Ensign, having only graduated the year before. But she still outranks the main characters.
(And Neomenia and Chris are totally in a relationship, but are trying to hide it, although everyone knows about it. )

I like the officers' designs. They're visually different from each other, which can be a useful shorthand for identifying officers (or a hindrance, depending on your view). But I like the black-and-purple colour scheme. It's just as distinctive as the navy-and-yellow. Also, and I know this is totally random, but I like the contrast of the white skirt against the black jacket/tights.
I kind of like the fact that, visually, you didn't make many changes to Chris or Nemmy. I liked their designs, and it's nice to see them here again. I agree that Issadora looks a little like Neptune with the aqua hair, but not terribly much (and, like you said, different genres, too).
And hee, I never thought of Nemmy/Chris, but it could totally work.
