Description
Just a random little something I decided to do. When I decided to do Genetic Experiment 1004 for NaNoWriMo this year, I, of course, looked up old art that was still on the site, and found that I happened to have a piece that would be ten years old, well, today. So, of course, I knew I had to redraw it, even if it is in the middle of the event. 
The old version was done when the story idea had been several months old, and still pretty much in its first incarnation. Which is basically the way the story is now, just...grown up, I guess.
Bri and Damien were, literally, made for each other, and I actually used to do a lot of artwork of just them, being cute. Funnily enough, this is the first time I've actually drawn them together for this version. 
The idea, of course, is basically that they're being all cute and whatnot. The old version had them kissing - here they're just snuggling or something, I don't know. Still cute, though. And there's Sapphros on Damien's head instead of Bri's, just to mix things up. (Well, really, because he was on Damien's head in the original version, but that's besides the point.)
So, um, yeah...another impressive redraw, methinks. Here's the original version for comparison sake.

I want to say it's funny that this is the first time you've drawn these two together (for this version), but in hindsight, it's understandable. A lot of NaNo was drawing a lot of individual (or group) pictures, and less so couples. And then, by the time NaNo started…who had time for art? (Mind you, I know you completed this before NaNo, but it wasn't long before.)
That said, they look super cute together! Even if they've been downgraded from kissing to snuggling. I love how the both of them have that lovely blue/brown contrast going on -- I kinda like it when couples are in complementary colours, for some reason. Maybe that's just a weird quirk of mine.
I know Sapphros was on Damien's head in the original, but considering how I've drawn Bri with Sapphros on her head multiple times at this point, I kinda like the change here. Sure, you're sticking to the original, but it's also a hilarious because of those other pictures. He must really like Damien if he's willing to sit on his head! I kinda like how pose here, too, with his wings spread like that. He could be trying to make himself look bigger, but it kinda looks like he's going "Boo!" and trying to scare you. My mind is weird though. 
At any rate, these guys look super cute! Which is probably what you intended, in which case, you succeeded. And it's nice to see GE coupley art! Love it!
